Automatic grid disconnection license blue'Log XC
Background
Dynamic active power control is a key feature for achieving zero feed-in (zero export) in energy systems. The blue’Log XC already offers robust controller tuning options to support this functionality. However, in some regions, regulations may require the addition of a backup disconnection device, such as a contactor or circuit breaker, to further ensure compliance. If your installation uses a backup disconnection device, the Automatic grid disconnection license blue’Log XC is required.
Description
This license is a software extension that enables a blue’Log to disconnect a PV system from the grid when predefined thresholds are exceeded or in case of a power control failure (setpoint failure, inverter failure, or meter failure).
This function is managed via a digital output (24 V DC). When the configured threshold value is exceeded for a specified period of time, the digital output activates the disconnection. Reconnection occurs only after the power remains below the configured threshold for a defined period of time. If the automatic grid disconnection is configured as the fail-safe operation mode, it activates the digital output in case of a power control failure.
Features
Activate or deactivate a blue’Log digital output in case of a power control failure.
Activate or deactivate a blue’Log digital output based on predefined power thresholds for grid disconnection and reconnection.
Configure a delay to prevent unnecessary or premature switching.
Requirements
Meter/power analyzer and inverters: Required if disconnection and reconnection depend on power levels and not just fail-safe operation. The meter must support power control functionality. See Compatibility check.
Firmware: Version 2.x.x or higher is required. From firmware 29.3.2, the feature can be used as the fail-safe operation mode without dependency on power levels. For versions below 2.x, contact Support.
