About the ramp rate limiter

To avoid rapid changes in the active and reactive power output, the Ramp rate limiter feature allows the power generating system to follow a defined gradient to increase or decrease the power output after a command is sent by the grid operator or energy trader.

The ramp rate limiter is available for active and reactive power control. The functions are described below.

Ramp rate limiter for active power

Under Power control > Active power, you can configure the ramp rate limiter for active power individually for:

In each case, you can choose between two modes:

Ramp up

The ramp rate limiter only applies if the commands increase the active power output.

Ramp up / ramp down

The ramp rate limiter applies in both directions, power increase and power decrease.

Ramp rate limiter for reactive power

For reactive power control, the ramp rate limiter applies to ramp-up and ramp-down.
