Prompt password reset for a user

Only admins or managers can display and use these user management functionalities. See Permissions.
But you can not apply these user management functionalities to users with the user role admin. Contact our support if you want to apply user management functionalities to admin users.
You can initiate a password reset for a single user, for example for security reasons.
Warning
Always inform the user about the password reset in advance so that no uncertainty concerning security risks arises when they receive an email with the request to select a button or a link.
Prerequisites
User role admin or user manager.
You have informed the user about the password reset.
Steps
Navigate to the Users page. To get there, you have two options:
Select your avatar in the tool bar, then select Users.
Or select All users in the footer of the Recent sign-ins widget on your dashboard.
Select the
Options menu for the user.
Select
Password reset.
Select
Reset password again to confirm your action.
The user will now receive an email with the request to reset their password. They will have 5 minutes to reset the password with the link provided there.
Note
If you initiate a password reset for a user with the current status PENDING, this user will just receive another email with the request to activate their account.
