SSL certificate

Last modified:

The IT infrastructure license allows you to activate a secure login to blue'Log via an SSL certificate. See IT infrastructure license blue'Log XM/XC.

The remote connection of VCOM to blue’Log is already SSL encrypted. The IT infrastructure license is not needed in this case.

Manually configure an SSL certificate

Prerequisites
  • IT infrastructure (LDAP, SCEP, SSL) license

  • SSL certificate in PKCS#12 format (*.pfx, *.p12)

Steps
  1. Navigate to System > SSL certificate > Activate the Use SSL toggle.

  2. Choose Select file and upload a file.

  3. Select Upload certificate.

Configure an SSL certificate via SCEP

In this scenario, the SSL certificate is retrieved from an SCEP server.

Prerequisites
  • IT infrastructure (LDAP, SCEP, SSL) license

Steps
  1. Navigate to System > SSL certificate > Activate the Use SCEP toggle.

  2. Fill in the required fields:

    • Server URL: Address of the SCEP server (http:// or https://)

    • Challenge password: Password required by the SCEP server

    • SSL certificate settings: Metadata required in the certificate (for example country code, state or province, locality, organization, organizational unit)

  3. Select Save.
