meteocontrol offers various licenses to expand the functionality of the blue'Log XM/XC. Licenses are linked to a specific device and have no expiration date. You can view your installed licenses under System > License.
License upgrades
You can upgrade the installed power on your license, or add another license, at any time. As long as you upgrade to a blue'Log of the same type, you will not need to reconfigure your settings.
Examples:

Upgrade a blue'Log XM 200 to XM 1000

Upgrade a blue'Log XC 200 to XC 1000

Add a Modbus Power Control blue’Log XC license
If you upgrade from an XM to an XC, you must reset the data logger to its factory settings.

Activate a license
Prerequisites

You have purchased a license from meteocontrol (order@meteocontrol.com). When ordering, provide the 14-digit hardware serial number of the data logger

You have received the .LIC file via email
Steps

Go to System > License > Select file.

Select the file and select Upload license.

Active licenses have a green check mark in the table Installed licenses.
