Set up KACO blueplanet TL series (KACO direct)
KACO inverters of the blueplanet TL series can send data directly to VCOM via KACO Direct.
General tips
-
Have the data source (data logger, etc.) serial number on hand. When entering the serial number, pay attention to uppercase and lowercase letters and empty spaces.
-
The data source name can be freely selected. For recommendations, see our Naming guideline.
-
Set the same measuring interval for all data sources in the system to ensure charts are accurately displayed in VCOM. This is used to normalize uneven timestamps and aggregate smaller recorded intervals into larger ones.
-
To ensure that the data source measuring interval has been set correctly in VCOM, open an imported file in the Data logger overview portlet in VCOM and check the timestamps.
-
If possible, perform a connection test once you have completed the configuration in both VCOM and the data source.

Configuration: Inverter
-
Enable data transfer to meteocontrol
Configuration: Data logger
-
Connect the inverter to an internet router via the LAN cable and ensure the inverter is connected to the internet.
-
Configure the inverter via the KACO web interface. See the manufacturer documentation.
-
When the network setup is complete, perform a connection test.
Configuration: VCOM
-
In VCOM under Data logger configuration, add KACO direct as the device type.
-
Enter the inverter serial number correctly, for example 50.0TLXXXXXXX
Troubleshooting: Missing data in VCOM
The interval column has incorrect data:
-
The inverter sends only one file per day
-
The data file is empty
-
Incorrect time stamp in the data file
-
The inverter does not establish a connection to meteocontrol
