Naming guideline
Last modified:
Tip
We recommend the following guidelines for naming devices, subsystems, and other items to avoid confusion and errors.
Do
Use names that are as short as possible but as long as necessary.
Use clear designations that describe the function or location.
When numbering devices or subsystems, ensure the number of digits used is consistent (for example, Inverter 01 instead of Inverter 1).
Donโt
Use ambiguous abbreviations.
Use overly technical terminology.
Use inconsistent naming schemes.
