VCOM forecast

Last modified:

Module description

VCOM forecast is a license-based VCOM module for highly accurate prediction of solar power generation. The forecast provides 7-day ahead predictions in 15-minute resolution. The module allows you to visualize data, keep tabs on sudden regional weather developments, estimate yield losses more accurately, and meet forecasting requirements in markets around the world.

You can visualize the data in VCOM and use the VCOM API to integrate with other platforms, for example, to participate in day-ahead and intraday energy markets.

Scope and purpose

Key features of the VCOM forecast module include:

  • Production forecasts for PV systems via VCOM and the VCOM API.

  • Visualization of forecasts for up to 7 days into the future.

  • Comparison of historical forecast vs. actual production.

Target group

The VCOM forecast is intended for:

  • Energy traders

  • Grid operators

  • Project developers

  • O&Ms

  • PPA contractors
