Module description

VCOM Battery monitoring is a license-based VCOM module for the management and monitoring of batteries in VCOM.

Scope and purpose

Key features of VCOM Battery monitoring include:

  • Import battery data into VCOM, including VCOM API import & export.

  • Activate the module for selected systems within your portfolio.

  • Add batteries with a combined capacity greater than 30 kWh as a separate subsystem.

  • Assign your battery units to your battery inverter inputs for better evaluation.

  • Monitor you battery:

    • Visualize battery data in standard and user-defined charts, as well as in portlets.

    • Receive alerts for the state of charge of your battery or set up user-defined alarms triggered by battery values, resulting in incidents, tickets, and CMMS work orders, and including automated ticket creation and alarm muting for battery values.

    • Use battery data points in terms.

Target group

VCOM Battery monitoring is intended for O&M managers who:

  • Manage PV systems with batteries:

    • PV + BESS AC-coupled

    • PV + BESS DC-coupled (hybrid inverters)

  • Manage battery stand-alone systems.

The module is not needed for O&M managers that only operate an uninterruptible power supply (UPS, < 30 kWh).
