Assign a battery unit to a PCS

After adding a subsystem with battery inverters, assign the respective battery units that are connected to these PCSs in order to have an adequate representation of your system setup. Which units are available depends on the individual hierarchy of your battery storage system.

Prerequisites
  • User group technician or higher

Steps
  1. At System level , select icon-wrench1.png System settings > icon-database-insert.png Data sources > [Data logger name] Administration.

  2. In the table overview, you see your data logger’s configurations.

  3. Select icon-pencil1.png Assign battery units in the respective column.

  4. On the new page, you see a table with all the PCSs you specified when adding a battery subsystem.

  5. Select icon-link2.png Manage assignments for a PCS.

  6. In the appearing pop-up, you see a table with all Battery units you may already assigned to this PCS.

  7. Select icon-plus2.png Add assignment.

  8. In the newly appearing pop-up, you see a table with all Battery units still available for assignment. Units you may already assigned to this PCS are not listed anymore. Also, find the additional information on which units are already Assigned to another inverter. It is possible to assign one unit to multiple PCSs.

  9. Tick the checkboxes for all battery units that are connected to the PCS you are managing.

  10. Select icon-plus2.png Add assignments.

  11. You return to the table of already assigned units for this PCS, including the new assignments now.

  12. Select icon-floppy-disk1.png Save to complete the assignments.

The battery units are now assigned, and their total number appears in the column Number of assigned battery units in the table overview of PCSs.

Further actions
  • Manage the assignments for the other PCSs in the same manner.

  • Select icon-link2.png Manage assignments > icon-bin1.png Unassign to remove an assignment.
