DC current – heatmap

Last modified:

Previously, the chart was called: DC Heatmap inverter strings.

Chart

View the chart at System level in the Evaluation tab in the Section: Inverter inputs.

In the example, string 1 of MPPT 4 of inverter 01 is marked in dark red since no normalized current is measured or available for that input.

Basic info

Description

The heatmap allows you to monitor the normalized DC current of each string of each inverter’s MPPT individually.

Bright yellow areas represent the daily maximum. This may vary over the course of the day. Areas shown in dark red correspond to strings for which no values are measured or available.

Prerequisites

  • Your system has string inverters and their inputs appear at system level under icon-wrench1.png System settings > icon-database-insert.png Data sources > [Data source name] > String inverter inputs.

  • You set up a subsystem that includes the inverters you want to be displayed in the chart. See Add a PV subsystem or Add a hybrid subsystem.

  • All inverter input strings you want to be displayed are activated.

  • For all inverter input strings you want to be displayed, you entered the Nominal current.

Further details

  • You can find the settings for string inverter inputs at System level under icon-wrench1.png System settings > icon-database-insert.png Data sources > [Data logger name] > String inverter inputs.

  • You can rename your inverter inputs. Default naming convention is: I_DCx_y (z)

    • x = MPPT

    • y = input

    • z = inverter

  • By default, up to 15 inverters are selected to be displayed. You can change the selection manually.

  • Battery inverters are not included in this chart.

  • The chart is not available for systems with string combiner boxes.
