meteocontrol offers various licenses to expand the functionality of the bluelog Neo. Licenses are linked to a specific device and have no expiration date. You can view your installed licenses under Settings > License.
License upgrades
You can upgrade the installed power on your license, or add another license at any time. As long as you upgrade to a bluelog of the same type, you will not need to reconfigure your settings.
Examples:

Upgrade a bluelog Neo Monitoring ≤1 MVA to Monitoring ≤ 3MVA

Upgrade a bluelog Neo PV control ≤ 2 MVA to PV control ≤ 10 MVA

Add a Modbus power control license to a PV control, BESS control, or Hybrid control license
If you upgrade from a Monitoring device to a Control device, you must reset the data logger to its factory settings.
Activate a license
Prerequisites

You have purchased a license from meteocontrol (order@meteocontrol.com). When ordering, provide the 14-digit hardware serial number of the data logger.

If the data logger is connected to the internet, the license is automatically installed.

If the data logger is offline: you have received the .LIC file via email.
Steps

To activate a license via a .LIC file, go to Settings > License > Select file.

Select the file and select Upload license.
Active licenses are indicated by a green check mark in the table Installed licenses.
