This section explains how to safely remove the device from service while protecting data integrity, user safety, and environmental compliance.

Decommission the bluelog

Steps

  1. Back up all data from the device.

  2. Perform a factory reset.

  3. Power down the device.

  4. Disconnect all cables and sensors.

  5. Remove the device from its mounting.

  6. Handle batteries and hazardous components according to safety guidelines.

  7. Dispose of or recycle the device per local regulations.

  8. Document the process for traceability.

Electric shock hazard!

Fatal injuries or death from contact with cables and terminals.

  • Only connect or disconnect cables while they are de-energized.

  • Take measures to prevent the power cable from being reactivated

Environmental protection and disposal

Old and defective devices should be disposed of in accordance with national and local environmental and recycling regulations. Electronic components may not be disposed of along with household waste.
