Meters
You can configure various meters or power analyzers on the blue'Log, either manually via the web interface or via the scanning option.
Add a new meter
Prerequisites
The device is compatible with blue'Log. See Compatibility check. If the type is not supported, contact Sales.
Your blue'Log is connected to the network and the meter has been physically connected.
The basic configuration of your blue'Log has been completed. See Gettings started.
All blue'Log updates have been performed. See Update.
Add-on modules, if required, are connected. See Add-on modules.
Steps
Go to Devices > Meters.
Using the drop-down menus, select the manufacturer (Vendor) of the device you are scanning for.
Alternatively, using the drop-down menus, select the device type (Series) of the device.
Select an interface. The interface settings will depend on the connection type. See the table below for explanations of the abbreviations.
Adjust the interface settings.
Under Reference arrow system, select Load reference arrow system or Generator reference arrow system.
Under Device role, select Import, Feed in, Production, Consumption, Feed in and import, or None.
To scan for a device, select Start scan. Select the Show details window to display the scan log.
The devices found appear under Installed devices.
Add a virtual meter
A virtual meter is a single virtual device designed to combine real meters into a single meter for monitoring and power control purposes. A virtual meter also counts as a device in the maximum device count for the blue'Log.
Prerequisites
At least two meters are configured and available
Firmware ≥ 25.0.13
Steps
Go to Devices > Meters > Virtual meter > Manage virtual meter.
Select the names of the meters you want to combine into a virtual meter. Select the Plus icon to add additional meters that you have configured.
Enter a name for the virtual meter.
Select the reference arrow system.
Select the device role.
Select Save.
The device will appear under Installed devices.

Note
Beta-version drivers have not been tested in the field and may not be fully functional. Drivers in the beta phase are grayed out and can only be activated by contacting meteocontrol support.
Note
In most cases, interface settings can be found in the manufacturer documentation or the device itself. If you do not know the bus address, you can activate the Use range toggle to scan the blue'Log bus. For questions regarding the best baud rates to choose for a device, please contact the manufacturer.
