VCOM sync

You can sync your assets with VCOM to automatically update your production statistics at regular intervals. You can assign a single VCOM system or multiple VCOM systems to an asset in mc Assetpilot. To display this data in your dashboard, see Dashboard and widgets.
Note
In VCOM, actual assets are referred to as systems. For mc Assetpilot in this user manual, we will refer to any production system as an actual asset.
Overview of the VCOM sync domain

1 | Sync name | The name you give the VCOM sync. |
2 | VCOM user name | Your VCOM user name. |
3 | VCOM system names | Names of the systems in VCOM. |
4 | Link asset | Shown when a VCOM system is not yet linked to an actual asset in mc Assetpilot. Select the icon to link an asset. |
5 | Linked asset | Shown when a VCOM system is already linked to an actual asset in mc Assetpilot. Hover over the name of the linked asset to see the whole branch in the organization tree. |
6 | Delete | Delete a whole VCOM sync. |
7 | Unlink asset action | Only shown for already linked assets. Select the icon to unlink a VCOM system from an actual asset in mc Assetpilot. |
Sync your assets with VCOM
Prerequisites
You are the organization owner or an admin in mc Assetpilot.
You have a VCOM account with a user name and password.
Steps
Navigate to the organization level and select Settings > VCOM sync.
Select Sync with VCOM.
Enter a Sync name, your VCOM User name and Password.
Select Sync. All of the VCOM systems available under your VCOM user name will be loaded and displayed in the VCOM sync overview.
Select Link asset for each of the VCOM systems to link it to an mc Assetpilot asset. A window appears.
Select the mc Assetpilot asset from the dropdown.
The linked asset will appear in the list marked with a Green check mark.
