Remove a system from your portfolio
Last modified:
You are not allowed to simply delete systems (or so-called assets) within your portfolio without restrictions. There are three ways systems get into your portfolio, and the possibilities to remove them depend on how they got there in the first place.
Prerequisites
Way the system/asset got into your portfolio | Possibility to remove the system/asset from your portfolio |
---|---|
You set up the system/asset by yourself, which makes you the owner of the system/asset, see Set up a new system. | You can permanently delete the system/asset from your portfolio. |
The system/asset was shared with you by another partner and is therefore mirrored into your portfolio. | You can only unassign yourself from the system. |
The system/asset was shared with you via the VCOM Teams feature. | Only an administrator can edit and therefore remove the systems/assets assigned to any given team. |
Steps
At PORTFOLIO LEVEL, go to
Administration >
Portfolio > Overview. You arrive at your portfolio overview.
In the Actions column of the to be removed system/asset, you find one of the following icons depending on the above mentioned prerequisites:
Delete system/asset: Permanently delete the system/asset completely. If it was shared with somebody else, it will be removed from their portfolio as well.
Remove shared system/asset from portfolio: You are unassigned from the system. The original system/asset will remain in the portfolio of the system’s owner who originally set it up.
You can not delete or remove the system/asset from your portfolio: Contact your organization’s administrator to edit the team you are assigned to. This will also affect all other team members.
