Toggle deactivated: no proxy server is used

Note: If you use a proxy server, you will not be able to remotely access the blue'Log from VCOM, e.g. via the Datalogger overview portlet in VCOM.

4

MTU

Toggle activated: use the default MTU value of 1500 bytes

Toggle deactivated: change this value only if you have specialized network knowledge

5

Hostname

The hostname allows you to access the user interface of the device via a name and not just by the IP address.

The default hostname consists of "blue-x" and the last 8 digits of the hardware serial number. If you wish to change the hostname, consider the following:

  • Avahi is used to publish the hostname to the network: the Avahi toggle should be activated.

  • Changing the hostname will affect an active SSL certificate. See SSL certificate.

  • You cannot change the hostname if a power control master is enabled, or if a Kaco device with update capability is connected.
